Spotlight on Nottawa Fruit Farm Employees
It takes wonderful employees to make Nottawa Fruit Farm run successfully. The year 2009 was no exception as one could find great people in all facets of the business. Inside you might have been greeted by several different smiling faces. Rosa, who is the primary baker, was always ready to lend a helping hand. We enjoyed having Grandson Jordan who joined us for the summer. Mary S., an old veteran, joined Connie (from Bloomtown)and Sue clerking in the store in the fall. Visitors also enjoyed Jessica, Nathan, Martha and McKenzie who were wonderful help. Again, our daughter Jean was missed terribly at the farm and, of course, in our lives.
"Fall Family Fun" takes many additional staff members in October. This Fall's weekend weather was not so good, but the part-time employees certainly were! Kris and Laurie came from Kalamazoo to do the children's activities; Mary and Kelli who have helped out for thirteen consecutive years fulfilled any responsibility that was asked of them. Longtime veterans Bev, Jeff, Sue, Beth and Becky were great as usual. Last year's newcomers-Ken (Kelli's brand-new husband), Sam and Magdalena were again very valuable. Don and Eleanor doff their hats to those people who enriched our lives in 2009 and look forward to sharing time with them again.
